Our judging process rewards presentation, craftsmanship, and attention to detail, not just modification level.
For "highly modified" we take into consideration what your vehicle trim level would have been, stock.
This overview outlines what our judges look for in each category to ensure fair and consistent evaluation across all entries.
1. Exterior
Paint or wrap quality, body alignment, wheels, stance, and suspension setup are key considerations. Judges look for consistency, cleanliness, and an overall show-ready presentation.
2. Interior
Condition, cleanliness, and the quality of any custom work or upgrades are evaluated. Attention to detail matters as much as design choices. Neat, well-maintained interiors stand out.
3. Engine Bay / Trunk
Both areas are judged for cleanliness, organization, and finish. Visible care, tidy wiring, and thoughtful presentation carry more weight than the number of modifications.
4. Class-Specific Focus
Judges consider what matters most within each class:
Regular Class: Detail & Cleanliness across all visible areas.
Highly Modified Class: Craftsmanship and Integration of custom work.
Themed Class: Cohesion and Creativity in expressing the theme.
5. Overall Impression
Judges look for balance, completeness, and the 'wow factor' when all aspects of the car work together. A great build feels intentional and well-executed from every angle.
Important Notes:
Cars are compared within their class, not across classes.
Owners are encouraged to showcase all parts of the vehicle they would like evaluated. For example, if you want them to see the interior, give them a way to see it (door prop, open window, etc).
If possible, be available to the judge regarding insight or questions. In the event of a tiebreaker, this conversation could put your vehicle ahead.
